12/9/2011 CADlib will shortly be for Sale!: We have decided to put CADlib up for sale as it does not fit into our business model. It will be available on eBay at the end of September.
1/1/2009 Happy New Year and Happy New CADlib!: CADlib's just undergone quite a major overhaul. There's a host of new features such as better searches, grouping results by category, the ability to add files to a 'download basket' and download a zip containing the selected files. Scheduling from AutoCAD will shortly be available.
3/7/2008 IMPORTANT Information for AutoCAD 2009 Users: If you have trouble i-dropping into AutoCAD 2009, please read the information at http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=2753219, specifically that you have to add http://www.cadlib.co.uk to Internet Explorer’s list of Trusted Sites for i-drop to work.
27/1/2007 All drawings on CADlib now contain hyperlinks.: Every drawing on CADlib has had a hyperlink added. When a CADlib drawing is Drag & Dropped or inserted into another drawing the hyperlink will be indicated when you hover the AutoCAD cursor over the block. If you select the block and then right-click it, at the bottom of the fly-out menu will be the hyperlink back to the CADlib website. Hyperlinks should take you directly to a Manufacturer / Supplier's information on the website.

12/2/2003 Smart search: Due to technical difficulties the smart search has been removed from the site.
23/7/2002 Site revamp well under way: If things may seem a little quiet it's because we are busily working on a major site revamp. New features include a clearer interface, a user area where users can set their preferences for search results etc. A supplier area where suppliers can manager their CAD models on-line. This should all be on-line over the next few weeks.
23/5/2002 AJ New Metric Handbook Details Added: A number of drawings from the AJ New Metric Handbook have been added to CADlib - check under the manufacturer 'AJ Metric Handbook'.
23/5/2002 Product Descriptions Updated: The majority of product descriptions are now in place; where previously a number of descriptions read 'Description awaiting update by manufacturer' they now relate to the item of equipment.
26/4/2002 Williams Refrigeration on-line: CADlib welcomes Williams Refrigeration who now have their 'high quality gastronorm refrigeration for the busy commercial kitchen' range of equipment on-line.
23/4/2002 Corus UK Limited on-line: CADlib welcomes Corus UK Limited to the site who now have their Catnic range of Lintels on-line.
10/4/2002 Search results now display thumbnail previews: All the search results pages have been modified to display a small thumbnail for each cad file found. This makes it much easier to quickly scan down a list of results and find the item you are looking for.
8/4/2002 New user guide on-line: We are trialling a new user guide which can be found HERE. This is a ten minute audio presentation synchronised with slides. If you've got sound on your PC, take a look!
30/3/2002 New Manufacturers & Content Rationalisation: A number of new manufacturers have signed up to CADlib and you should see their content coming on-line over the next couple of weeks. After consideration, all non-manufacturer specific CAD information has been removed from the site and will not be re-introduced; from now on, CADlib will hold manufacturer specific information only.
19/3/2002 idrop.autodesk.com: CADlib is now listed on Autodesk's i-drop® website.
6/3/2002 Web Search Portal Building Commences: The 'web search' box at the top of the site is now working. There is still a lot of work to do to make the functionality better and other manufacturers to add.
1/2/2002 i-drop® Content Complete: All 3D CAD models are now available in 3D Studio Max & VIZ format as well as AutoCAD DWG format.
18/1/2002 Web Programming Complete: The functionality of the site is nearing completion. We have yet to activate the 'Web Based Search' feature - this is ready to do but just needs more time. The main tasks now are to document the site properly and reconsider the 'look and feel'.
15/1/2002 Logout Feature Added: Now a logout button is displayed if you are logged in. This deletes the CADlib cookie from the computer you are using.
9/1/2002 Guest login removed: Now if you haven't logged in before you are automatically logged in as a guest.
9/1/2002 i-drop® content building up: Started work on generating MAX files from 3D drawings together with associated preview images for i-drop®. Check out 'System B8 mobler a/s' manufacturer's drawing.
4/1/2002 Find details about the Manufacturer: Click on the Manufacturer in the results table to show their contact details.
29/12/2001 Tidy up: Tidy up site layout: Style sheets all point to cadlib.css. Some frames are now a fixed height so that they don't disappear on small screens. Table cells are also rationalised where appropriate. Page margins that were set to 0 have been removed (mostly).
